GOOD NEWS FOR YOUR WEEK
TGIM – Thank God It’s Monday!

THE WORD IS: “And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for you: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

THE POINT IS: The Apostle Paul had more than his fare share of difficulties. He described them as infirmities, reproaches, necessities, persecutions and distresses. That’s quite an array of difficulties. We’ve all encountered something similar. Such things are unavoidable. So what can we do about them? Should we deny them, become upset, get angry, or perhaps cry? These are all common responses. However, none of them are a solution. But that’s OK, God’s got you covered! His solution is far greater than all of your problems. The myriad of human problems we encounter, pale in comparison to our real problem, which is one of weakness! Individual weaknesses, such as human deficiencies and/or limitations, are not the real issue. The fact is that all humans are weak—utterly powerless and totally incapable of living life. We simply don’t have what it takes. Weakness is indicative of need. We humans are needy people, not just in part, but in whole. And that applies to all of us.

THE APPLICATION IS: Weakness is not a bad thing; it’s simply a fact of life. So, the sooner you admit it and accept it, the better. The amazing thing is, that as you admit your weakness, you can actually be glad about it. It takes a load off of you, no more pressure to perform or produce. But you’ve got to admit it! The only way to access God’s amazing grace and experience His supernatural strength is to humbly admit your weakness. When you do, you will actually be able to experience pleasure in the midst of your pain. Pleasure is yours for the taking, but you must operate according to the grace of God in order to embrace it. Until you admit weakness in your flesh, you can never be strong in your Lord. But once you admit your fleshly weakness, you discover the source of your true strength. His strength has been made perfect in your human weakness. Notice that it doesn’t say, when you are weak, then He is strong. No, it says, “you are strong”! Of course we know that He is strong; He’s the Almighty. But the point is that now you are strong too! You’re a power house: strong in the Lord and in the power of His might! The admission of weakness in your outer man, results in the release of God’s supernatural power resident in your inner man. So, are you weak? Good, because that means you’re really and truly strong. Now, you’ve got the power! And it’s all for Christ’s sake—to God be the glory!

Have a great week,
