DISCERNING the SIGNS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jesus said, “Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times?” Matthew 16:3 It may sound good. It may look good. And it may even feel good. But is it God? According to 1 Corinthians 2:14, THE THINGS OF GOD ARE SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

JESUS left us with these words of warning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWatch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep\u2019s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.\u201d Matthew 7:15<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.\u201d Matthew 24:11<\/p>\n

\u201cFor false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect\u2014if that were possible.\u201d Matthew 24:24<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A warning from the Apostle Peter.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cBut there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them\u2014bringing swift destruction on themselves.\u201d 2 Peter 2:1<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Apostle Paul offered this caution.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cUnto the church of God, which is at Corinth\u2026 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: So that you come behind in no gift\u2026 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ\u2026.”\u00a0 1 Corinthians 1:2, 7, 3:1<\/p>\n

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. \u00a0And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.\u201d\u00a0 2 Corinthians 11:13-15<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And the Apostle John gave this admonition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cDear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.\u201d 1 John 4:1<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Pray for Spiritual discernment!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cNow we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God.\u201d 1 Corinthians 2:12<\/p>\n

Only the Holy Spirit of God can discern the signs. Therefore you must yield yourself completely to the Holy Spirit. Ask Him to take control of your life and fill you with His Spirit. Then trust Him for the discernment, power and ability to deal with every situation you might face. He will lead you in the right path for His names sake! JESUS is LORD!<\/p>\n
