THE NEED FOR SPIRITUAL AWAKENING<\/strong><\/span>

\u00a0Q<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0“It appears that the way things are going in our country we are on a collision course. The solutions our society offers are just empty promises and wishful thinking. Furthermore, the Christians are so shallow. I feel like I am one of the few truly committed to the Lord. HELP!”
\n\u00a0A<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span> Hello Chris, Your comments about the shallowness of most Christians, the emptiness of society, and the utter absurdity of the collision course our country is on, are very relevant. These are drastic times that call for drastic measures.<\/p>\n

The issues you have raised<\/strong> present quite a challenge,\u00a0but this is certainly no match for our all-sufficient Lord.\u00a0I have seen Him take the most selfish of people and transform them into true servants of our Lord.\u00a0Such a transformation causes people to enter into a new quality of life.\u00a0It is this dimension of living that can truly be called \u201cthe abundant life or the life in the Spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not referring to<\/strong> some new religious ritual or pious verbiage. No, what I\u2019m talking about\u00a0is reality!\u00a0True spiritual reality\u00a0is the\u00a0genuine manifestation\u00a0of the life of the\u00a0Lord Jesus Christ being\u00a0expressed\u00a0through your personal character and conduct.\u00a0 It is what the Apostle Paul called a \u201cdemonstration of the Spirit and power.\u201d It is simply the Lord Jesus Christ\u00a0being Himself through ordinary humans.\u00a0It is His life being manifested through His people in every area of their daily activities.\u00a0And that is true living!<\/p>\n

But as you have observed,<\/strong> all too many Christians have a pseudo Christianity. It is what the Bible calls a \u201cform of godliness.\u201d Such Christians, in their attempt to\u00a0imitate\u00a0Christ, are functioning without the life and power of God\u2014a poor replica of the real thing.\u00a0Tragically, even with\u00a0all their sincere efforts, they are still deceived. And the worst part is, they don’t even know it!<\/p>\n

Revelation 3:15-16<\/strong>\u00a0refers to this as \u201clukewarm Christians\u201d. \u201cI know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot!\u00a0So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.” ESV<\/p>\n

It should be\u00a0obvious<\/strong> that lukewarm Christians are nauseating to our Lord.\u00a0Yuk! But that is part of what you are expressing in your comments, Chris.\u00a0Since you are now one with Christ and you are allowing Christ to live his life through you, He is\u00a0causing you to experience\u00a0the same feelings that He has\u00a0over the tragic plight of our world\u00a0today.<\/p>\n

Perhaps you have<\/strong> the same sentiments as Chris. It is because of this pseudo contentment, in which many think they have need of nothing, that\u00a0a wake-up call from the Lord is needed. The true church of our Lord Jesus Christ must awake from its slumber and allow Christ to shine forth. Those of you who have seen the light need to\u00a0come out from under your bushel baskets and let your lights shine! Now is the time for God\u2019s people to awaken and\u00a0work together!<\/p>\n

Continuous revival<\/strong> is yours for the taking. But you must wake up . . . and take it!<\/p>\n

REVIVAL FIRES<\/strong> \u2013 Such continuous revival, a genuine spiritual awakening, is available to anyone, anywhere. The fires of His passion have continued to motivate me throughout the years. I thank God for the privilege of being an ambassador for Jesus Christ. I am very grateful for the trail of changed lives that have resulted to the glory of God. Let\u2019s keep the fire burning bright!<\/p>\n
