GOOD NEWS FOR YOUR WEEK<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>TGIM – Thank God It\u2019s Monday! <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n10-19-09<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\nTHE WORD IS:<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.<\/span><\/em> Hebrews 13:20-21 <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span>THE POINT IS:<\/span><\/span><\/strong> Are you concerned about doing God\u2019s will? \u00a0Well you should be, because God certainly is! \u00a0He made ample provision for you to be able to do His will.<\/em> That\u2019s what grace<\/em> is all about. \u00a0God is a God of grace from start to finish. \u00a0Grace is God doing for you what you cannot do for yourself.<\/em> Just look at what He\u2019s done for you. \u00a0He offered the perfect sacrifice<\/em> of His Son Jesus Christ, who shed His blood when He died upon the Cross, in order to establish an everlasting covenant with you. \u00a0Such a covenant provides you with everlasting life!<\/em> But in order for that covenant to be binding, it required the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. \u00a0So it all gets back to the cross<\/em> and the resurrection.<\/em> The phrase \u201cthrough the blood\u201d is a reference to the cross of Christ. \u00a0And the phrase \u201cbrought again from the dead\u201d is a reference to the burial and resurrection of Christ. \u00a0As a result of this amazing sacrifice, the God of peace<\/em> has made it possible for us to have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. \u00a0What a gracious offer!

\n<\/span><\/span> <\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>THE APPLICATION IS: <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span> <\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/span> But it gets even better! \u00a0Upon receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, He becomes your Shepherd\u2014<\/em>your caretaker. \u00a0He will lead you, guide you, protect you and provide for you. \u00a0Furthermore, He does it all from right there inside<\/em> of you. \u00a0As the resident Overseer of your life, Jesus Christ will do an inside job on you, which brings us back to grace. \u00a0Grace is also God doing in and through you, what you cannot do in and of yourself.<\/em> Therefore, when you allow Christ to live His life in and through<\/em> you, He becomes your means<\/em> of accomplishing God\u2019s will. \u00a0He will make you<\/em> perfect in what you do, by working in you His good and perfect works. \u00a0Since Jesus Christ does all things well, as He works in you,<\/em> He will always do those things which are pleasing in God\u2019s sight. \u00a0That means your life will become pleasing<\/em> to God, and you\u2019ll also be bringing glory<\/em> to God\u2014the glory that\u2019s due Him for ever, and ever, and ever. \u00a0So be it Lord! <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
