Dr. Lewis Gregory

Q. Is God sharing anything with you about what is going to be happening in the next few years?

A. Not specifically, but the Bible indicates that things generally have to get worse before they can get better.  Desperate conditions are usually required before we get desperate for God.  People today are much like those in the city of Laodicea described in Rev. 3:17-22. ‘Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. ‘Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. ‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. ‘He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. ‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”

Most people worldwide are oblivious to their real need.  But when we go through a fiery trial that need becomes evident.  Jesus told us that the rain falls on the just and the unjust.  Well so do the fiery trials.  Remember that the purpose of a fiery trial is to purge and purify you, in order to bring out the best in you.  As a Christian, the best in you is your new creation self in union with Christ.

Pray that God would grant you the grace to go through the fiery trials and come out without the smell of smoke!    Seek Him with all your heart.  Redeem the time by working while it is day, for the night comes when no one will be able to work.  Keep in mind that your labor must be according to His working, which works in you mightily.  Therefore allow Christ to do His good and perfect work through you.  Then your labor will not be in vain in the Lord!  Also pray that God would rule and overrule in the affairs of men.

Regardless of world conditions, you are safe and secure in Him.  Vain is the help of man, but Jesus never fails.  And He will never leave you or forsake you.  The best-case scenario is that through it all, God will take you home to be with Him!  Either way look up, for your redemption is drawing near!
