“The Holy Bible is God’s love letter to the world. It points to the source of life—Jesus Christ, who is the Living Word. “Search the scriptures; for in them you think you have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And you will not come to me, that you might have life” (John 5:39–40).
“Once I asked a new Christian, “Do you have a Bible?”
“Yes, I do,” he replied.
Then I told him, “God has something to say to you through His Word the Bible. He wants to make Himself known to you in an intimate personal way, so that you can have a meaningful relationship with Him. But first you must discover God’s secret for effective communication. That secret is the Holy Spirit. The Spirit will explain the Bible to you and speak to you through it.”
Have you discovered this secret yet? The Holy Spirit is your own personal tutor. He always is available to interpret Scripture to you. “He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance” (John 14:26). The Holy Spirit, who is also known as the Spirit of Truth, desires to guide you into all truth. Therefore, in all things, you can trust the Holy Spirit to be your teacher and guide. Ask Him to teach you and guide you according to His Word and God’s will for your life.”
It might be helpful to view the Bible as God’s love letter to you. He is eagerly waiting to speak to you. You will get to know the Living Word through the written Word. God has many wonderful things to tell you. So, listen to His still, small voice and be refreshed!”
