TGIM – Thank God It’s Monday!

He which has begun a good work in you will perform it. Philippians 1:6

God, who is good, begins His good work in our lives at conversion. When we by faith receive Christ, we are converted—changed—by being born again of His Spirit. And as if that wasn’t good enough, Christ now lives in us in order to perform His good and perfect works through us! God specializes in performing good works. He’s the only one who can do that which is truly good because He alone is good. God’s goodness was revealed to us through His son Jesus Christ, who lived the perfect life. As God clothed in humanity, Jesus Christ lived the good life!

THE APPLICATION IS:  And now, Christ is here to do the same for you. Upon receiving Christ, the Source of all goodness enters into you; and that makes you good, very good! This is not because of any good works that you’ve done, but all because you are now one with the Source of goodness—Christ Himself. But that’s only the beginning! Christ makes you good in Him in order that He might enable you to do good. Christ now lives in you to perform His good and perfect works through you. The Lord is prepared to finish what He started. The good work that He began in you, He is now ready, willing and able to complete . . . if you will only let Him. Therefore, you must allow Christ by faith to live His life through you. The result?  You’ll have a life of good works!  And that’s very good!!!

Have a great week,
