“We walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7

FAITH WALKERS WALK BY FAITH. The Apostle Paul boldly declared, “I can do all things,” and then he added, “through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). Christ alone was the source of Paul’s strength! This explains why Paul had such an effective life despite all of his difficulties. He was empowered, equipped, and enabled by the Holy Spirit. In 1 Corinthians 2:1-5, Paul explained: “that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” The only way to stand firm and unshakeable is by the power of God’s Spirit!

FAITH WALKERS WALK IN THE SPIRIT. “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit” (Galatians 5:25).  Are you relying entirely on the power of God’s Spirit or on your own human strength and ability? Jesus stated that although our spirit may be willing, our flesh is weak. We are utterly powerless to live life as God intended. Therefore, we must walk in the Spirit to be effective. “For it is not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit says the Lord” (Zechariah 4:6). Are you a living demonstration of God’s power? (1 Corinthians 2:4) Are you, by faith, allowing Christ to work through you? Remember, faith without works is dead (James 2:17). So, how is your walk?

FAITH WALKERS WALK WITH JESUS. Faith walkers have been joined to the Lord through a living union. Faith walkers move only as their Lord moves them. They move seamlessly as one with their Lord. They go where their Lord goes, say what their Lord says, and do what their Lord does. Faith walkers move in unity and harmony with their Lord.

What moves you? God’s way is the way of faith, not force. What are you looking to as your source, strength, and means of accomplishing the task? Are you looking to Jesus as the author and finisher of your faith? (Hebrews 12:2) Jesus is the only one who can begin the good work, and He alone can bring it to completion. It’s a grace thing—He does the work, and we let Him, which is a faith response.

Where there is genuine faith in the Lord, there will be the corresponding works of the Lord. Jesus Christ gets the job done, and He always does it right! As Jesus said, “If you believe, you will see the glory of God” (John 11:40). The glory of God is, among other things, the manifest presence and power of God in your life. When the Lord Jesus Christ is at work, He always makes a difference, a lasting difference for the better! As you consider your past, is there evidence of God’s working through your life?

If you are truly allowing the Lord to work through your life, the difference should be evident. The fruit of the Spirit will be expressed through your life, and there will be the abiding fruit of transformed lives! So if you believe, which involves trusting and obeying Him, you too will see God at work in your life. The result: you will be a person of influence, making a positive difference in the world around you! FAITH WALKERS SEE RESULTS!
